The surface designated for deployment of EKOFIX grid, it is first necessary to make a pit with the depth depending on the type of target designation (e.g. a parking place or an access road). The bottom of the pit should be levelled and condensed and then filled in with a load carrying layer 15 ? 60 cm thick, typically composed of broken stone or aggregate. Rubble should be levelled and condensated by compacting. Proper levelling and compacting of each layer of the subsoil prevents damage to the grid under the load of the vehicles. Next, kerbs are placed, the top surface of which should correspond to the level of the surrounding soil. The last stage prior to the deployment of the grid features covering the whole area with a layer of 8 ? 10 cm of peat and garden soil, allowing for the proper rooting of grass. This layer should also be levelled and compacted. If the target surface does not account for grass, this layer can be skipped. After completion of the last step, it is possible to move to the deployment of the grid. Individual panels should be connected together using the hooks as presented in the figure above. Transversal grids provide stability and rigidity of the structure. A simple grid assembly system allows also for its rapid disassembly.
